The future is never far from us. Things that will happen in the future sometimes have already happened in the past. In my perspective of the future museum, I would like to focus on several physical elements and several design concepts that I think will be important in the future.

First of all, the physical element is always something that needs to be considered. In this topic, I would like to discuss nature elements, material, organization of space and sustainable design. The natural elements such as sunlight and wind are the connection and interaction between humans and nature. To use the nature elements inside the museum allows the interior to connect to the exterior and allows visual communication between people and exterior space. In addition, nature elements can also create certain types of spaces. For example, running water creates white noise that can be helpful in high-density interior gathering space to reduce the noise. Material and sustainable design can sometimes be seen as one design method. Because of the global environmental crisis, it is important to reduce pollution and use sustainable material since architecture is one   of the major industries that produce pollution. Due to the low release of CO2, CLT and Rammed Earth will be applied more and more in the future museum design.

Secondly, there are few possible concepts that will be applied in the future: flexibility & adaptability, community-centric spaces and cultural sensitivity & representation. In the future, museums can be flexible, such as module design can be applied in the museum. Modular design helps the museum to reduce its cost on money and time, and allows it to be able to change again based on the need. Proposed layouts would prioritize flexibility, allowing for seamless transitions between exhibitions and events, accommodating the diverse needs of visitors and programming. These museums aim to serve as vibrant hubs of community engagement, offering multifunctional spaces conducive to workshops, performances, and collaborative projects. Moreover, there is a recognition of the significance of cultural representation, with designs incorporating elements that celebrate diversity and promote inclusivity, ensuring all individuals feel valued and respected within these architectural spaces.
